I feel like the past few weeks have just been a whirlwind – we have been so busy going back and forth to Kansas City, doctors appointments, a surprise trip to Labor & Delivery, and a childbirth education class. Plus, we have been trying to fit in a little fun as well.
To top it all off, we are SO EXCITED to finally say that we are moving back to our home state in t-minus TWO weeks. So, we have also been planning for all of the details that will come with the move (a new doctor + new hospital for the delivery of the baby, getting our house ready, packing up and prepping for the cross-country drive, etc.).
Needless to say, we have been BUSY! Here is a quick recap of life lately (in photos):
We took advantage of Labor Day sales and bought A TON of paint for our new (old) home. So excited to get rid of those blue, lime green, pink, and WHITE walls!
A trip to look for a baby crib ended in me drooling over this Wolf stove. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE them/need one?!
My mom and I made cake pops for my baby shower – this was definitely a learning process, but I think they came out really cute!
My baby shower outfit – I think I only took about 3 photos the entire day. Whoops.
Newborn vs Size 1 diapers – adorable!!
Ice cream with my parents, because I still can’t get enough of it.
A “surprise” trip to Labor and Delivery this past week – baby’s heart rate was way too high at my regular doctor appointment, but by the time I made it to the hospital and was all hooked up to monitors, his heart rate was back to normal! I think he just wanted to put on a little show.
My new favorite thing – vegetarian sushi. After our scary trip to the hospital, Brandon and I enjoyed a much needed fun/relaxing dinner!
An all-day childbirth class left me feeling VERY informed (and sleepy!)

Living on the west coast means 10 a.m. football games, so we watched while having brunch this past weekend.
