Bump friendly outfits for summer (that are actually non-maternity!)

If you missed our big announcement over on Instagram, we’re expecting BABY #3 this coming October! We are so, so excited and it has been fun to watch Henry and Ruby this time around. Henry was only 23 months when Ruby was born, so of course he didn’t really understand what it meant when I was pregnant…but this time around they both fully understand that a new BABY will be joining us soon. So fun! I share tons of updates over on Instagram if you want to follow along with this pregnancy journey!
I am about 21 weeks right now, and the selection for bump friendly outfits for summer in my closet was severely lacking. I literally had about 3 things that fit me still! So, I ordered a couple of new pieces and wanted to share them here on the blog. They’re all non-maternity so they will work whether you’re pregnant or not – anyone else hate buying maternity-specific clothing that you can’t wear after baby arrives?!
Keep scrolling to see what I picked up!

This baby doll style dress is PERFECT for the warm summer months – it’s so easy and breezy! It’s a little longer in the back and has a bit of a puff-sleeve (and pockets!). I went up one size for length and to accommodate my growing bump.

I’m so in love with this flutter sleeve off the shoulder dress. It can also be worn up on the shoulders, which is so pretty, too! Cute with sandals or sneakers. I went up one size in this dress for my bump.

I always love an oversized band tee so I knew I needed to grab this Def Leppard one! I went with a size large to accommodate my bump but honestly that’s the size I would have gone with pre-pregnancy, as well. Cute like this – tied over a skirt, as well as with bike shorts or denim shorts!
A maxi skirt is a great closet staple when you’re pregnant…or not pregnant! They’re comfortable and can be worn several different ways. This one is so cute pulled up over a bump, but I know I’ll wear it in the fall, post-pregnancy, with booties and a cardigan too.
