Fall and holiday family photo outfit ideas: Neutral outfits for your Fall or Winter family pictures – make them look cohesive without being too matchy-matchy!

Our kids are (almost!) 3 and 1, and we hadn’t ever had any professional family photos taken. I wanted to do it while they were still babies, because I think that family pictures are something that will be treasured forever…and who doesn’t want to remember their kids’ baby days?!
I plan on framing some pictures for our house (or maybe even blowing some up on canvas – we’ll see!), so something that was really important to me was wearing outfits that coordinated and were neutral. Since they’ll be going in our home, I didn’t want something like our outfit choices to clash with any future decor. ;) Neutral matches everything!
I wanted to mix casual and elegant, so I wore this sweater and this skirt
Buy skirt here // OR here is a similar less expensive option
Henry wore this sweater, navy suspenders, jeans, and boots. I wanted to keep him comfy, because, well…he’s 3 and super active. I knew he’d get cranky if he wasn’t comfortable!
(we love these jeans, they’re easy for little ones to pull down themselves when using the bathroom!)
Ruby wore this dress (it’s from Amazon!), tights, and ballet shoes.
Brandon wore khakis, a jacket/vest/shirt, and boots. Again, I was going for a mix of casual and dressy and I love how his look turned out!
