Tried and true baby gear must haves to help you through the first years of baby’s life

Yesterday marked one week out from my due date, so I thought to celebrate I’d share a roundup of my most favorite baby items. Plus, I’m sharing a few things that I’m excited to try this second time around.
We used every single thing on this roundup when Henry was a newborn, with the exception of the couple items at the bottom – those are new products I’m excited to try this second time around. Most everything we actually still use, and Henry is almost two! So when I say tried and true, I mean it.
PS: This post is shoppable! Scroll to the bottom and you’ll find direct links to everything I have listed. Also, if you have questions about anything, just let me know!
Like I mentioned, we honestly use most of these essentials with Henry STILL and he is a month away from two years old. That’s how you know they’re great, right?!
More about the items I’m looking forward to trying:
Binxy Baby – A grocery cart hammock, for trips to the grocery store and Target. With Henry, I just put his carseat in the cart. This hammock will save room in the cart for actual groceries (and all that stuff I “need” at Target – mamas I know you know what I’m talking about LOL).
LilleBaby – We used a baby carrier with Henry, and it was so convenient to be able to be hands free. I’m looking forward to trying a different style this time around. Plus, I think that being hands free with a toddler will be really useful. We didn’t know this the first time around, but did you know that carrier rental was a thing that you could do? This would be beneficial if you aren’t sure about whether or not this piece of equipment would be suitable for you and your newborn. Either way, I definitely recommend having a baby carrier.
Dockatot – A baby lounger that is easily transported from room to room. I think I’m going to love this with a toddler who is always on the move – we can just pick baby up and move with him!
The Ollie World Swaddle – A swaddle specially designed to make baby feel super safe and protected, like they’re still in the womb. I’m excited to try this – especially if it helps baby sleep better!
Lorena Canals Rug – Machine washable rugs. Yes, you read that right. MACHINE WASHABLE. Need I say more?! So cute, and perfect for baby’s room!
I will of course let you know how those five items work out. They all seem really helpful and practical, so I have high hopes! If you want to try out the Dockatot for your own baby, click here for $10 off!

The sound machine is just priceless! I used to play white noise on the phone and finally got a similar sound machine – works almost each time!
