Spring Bookshelf Makeover

After I took down our Christmas decorations, the house was feeling pretty bare. Part of me liked it because it felt…fresh in a way. And that means Spring is on its way, right? But our bookshelves were looking pretty sad and too naked. So they got a little makeover!

You can see what our bookshelves looked like at Christmas time [here]. Spring Bookshelf Makeover via Life on Shady Lane blog

I started to try and just rearrange things…but quickly realized I’d do a better job if I emptied the whole thing and started over.  I usually do these things before Brandon gets home because he probably would have been a  little concerned if he walked into the dining room and saw this:  Spring Bookshelf Makeover via Life on Shady Lane blog

I did add in a few new pieces but for the most part I just recycled items I already had and rearranged/repurposed them. I love, love, love, how these turned out! And although it’s still January I’m loving how fresh and Springy it feels! I love the way your books looked with the spines turned in! This is definitely the inspiration I need for the bookshelves Ryan and I just bought :)
